Question. What are attributes.why do we use them

Attributes are declarative tags in code that insert additional metadata into an assembly. There are two types of attributes : Predefined attributes such as Assembly Version, which already exists and are accessed through the Runtime Classes; and Custom attributes, which you write yourself by extending the System.Attribute class.
Functionality wise there are two type of attributes : Metadata attribute, which allows some data to be attached to a class or method. This data becomes part of the metadata for the class. And (like other class metadata) can be accessed via reflection; Context attributes, use a similar syntax to metadata attributes but are fundamentally different. They provide an interception mechanism whereby instance activation and method calls can be pre and/or post processed.
